Christmas 2024 Looked a Lot Different to People in North Carolina after Hurricane Helene

November 11, 2025 by wm

January 24th marks the fourth month anniversary Helene crippled major parts of western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee. Homes and entire towns were flattened, slammed by mudslides and simply washed away, leaving absolute and total destruction behind. it was ten days before FEMA had any presence in the area, and then the absolute ineptness of our federal government was on full display. Hundreds of people whose homes were destroyed are still living in campers and tents amid cold temperatures. As a long hard winter sets in, many residents are still struggling to gain some forward momentum.

MT GOP Sues Itself

November 11, 2025 by wm

By Dave Johnson
What is in a name? A rose by any other name would smell just as sweet, William Shakespeare famously said. In the world of political organizations, names matter. They convey authority, legitimacy, and often, historical continuity.

When a Republican County Central Committee Chairman and another Republican County Central Committee State Committeewoman with over 17 years dedicated to helping the MT GOP, chose to use create a group to help central committees and named it the “Montana Association of Republican Central Committees” (MARCCO), the move sparked controversy, especially within the ranks of the Montana Republican Party (MT GOP). The MTGOP didn’t call up their members and ask for details. Instead the MT GOP served them with papers and filed a lawsuit against MARCCO over their use of the term “Republican.” The suit is likely to cost each side over $120,000 to defend.

Political Left Has Captured Federal Grant-Giving Departments, Experts Say

November 11, 2025 by wm

Billions of federal dollars go to left-wing causes because activists control federal bureaucracy— and that’s not likely to change soon, an analyst predicts.

By Jackson Elliott 10/24/2023

Times The federal government pays for initiatives promoting transgenderism and other LGBT causes because left-wing bureaucrats have captured federal grant-giving programs, experts say.

“When you dig into who staffs federal agencies, they’re absolutely dominated by people on the left side of the political spectrum,” David Ditch, senior budget policy analyst for The Heritage Foundation, told The Epoch Times. “That has been the case for a very long time. I expect that will be the case indefinitely, regardless of who wins the next presidential election.

You Reap What You Sow

November 11, 2025 by wm

Randy Pinocci

Every organization needs its leadership and the Montana Republican Party is certainly no exception to that rule. Very soon the Republican Party will pick a new chair and vice chairperson to lead Montana into the future. As a long-time Republican here in Montana I find myself very frustrated with our current leadership and like many other organizations across our great country problems usually occur over money.

Who controls the Republican Party has a great amount of control of where the money gets spent, which campaigns get it and which campaigns don’t. The abuse can extend past money. An example is leadership can decide who runs for office and those that shouldn’t bother to even file for office. This is mostly done either by withholding money or access to constituents (denying a candidate the opportunity to speak at an event, or have signage placed at an event; deny a candidate access to Campaign Sidekick, or the ability to have field representatives door-knock or handout candidate literature…).

Wyoming Expands Gun Rights, Liberals Panic Over Concealed Carry on Campuses

November 11, 2025 by wm

WRITTEN BY
Stephen MacDonald, GraniteGrok.com

The Wyoming legislature took a big step toward respecting the Second Amendment with House Bill 72. It is, AN ACT relating to concealed weapons; repealing gun free zones; providing for the carrying of concealed weapons as specified; creating a criminal offense for prohibiting entry to a person carrying a concealed weapon as specified; clarifying that only the state legislature may regulate firearms, weapons and ammunition; providing for exceptions; requiring rulemaking; and providing for an effective date.

This is the Cowboy State’s second bite at this apple. Last year’s bill was vetoed, and the usual public school suspects are unhappy about the governor allowing it to become law this time.

UPDATE: The 45% Increase in Cascade County Rural Solid Waste District Assessment

November 11, 2025 by wm

WRITTEN BY
Rae Grulkowski
On Tuesday, March 11, 2025, in the 9:30 am Cascade County Commissioner meeting, Commissioners signed a lease agreement to construct a new solid waste container site in Belt – right across the fence from the recently vacated one. Construction of a new site is loosely estimated between $100,000 – $190,000. And, in an ensuing “Solid Waste Hearing” at 11:00 am, they signed a resolution to seek a loan, up to $300,000. The loan is to be used for the solid waste district program in general. Lastly, in September, 2024, taxpayers were assessed a 45% increase to their Solid Waste tax assessment which infused over $400,000 into the Solid Waste District budget. However, there is no way the Public will know anything further because, assumedly, the majority of the discussions leading up to these decisions were by undisclosed meetings and email deliberations. Commissioners then refused to answer inquiries of citizens as they went to the podium to participate.
